To celebrate over 70 years of Audi's innovations in motorsports, Singaporeans will witness Audi's 3 historic racing cars in action as they sweep through Orchard Road.

The AutoUnion TypeC Grand Prix, Rally Quattro® A2 and the Audi R8 Le Mans will flag off at the Marriott Hotel, one of Singapore's most recognised and prominent landmarks.

In a spectacular display of men and machines, these historic cars will proceed in a convoy down Orchard Road making a pit stop at Raffles City.

These 3 cars will be followed by Audi's new supercar, the Audi R8. At both locations, motorsports fans and enthusiasts can come up close with these cars and meet with international rally drivers.

The AutoUnion SilverArrow dominated motor racing in 1936 with over 10 GrandPrix victories. Audi quattros® won numerous races until they were banned due to superior quattro® technology over other cars. And the Audi R8 LeMans Prototype made headlines with the famed FSI technology.

After this, visitors can view these historic racing cars at the National Museum where they will be on exhibit till 2 December.

10.00 a.m. - Flag-off by GOH

Drive down Orchard Road in a convoy of historic racing cars and Audi R8's

10.30 a.m. - Pit stop: Raffles City

I heard racing drivers but i dont know what speed. Kinda hard to believe if they are gonna speed down that area. Not exactly a place you would wanna speed. Too many jaywalkers.

The gala launch of the R8 have a total of 3 events. Last night and tonight will be a formal sitdown 5 course western dinner plus presentation while Sunday morning, invited guests will be having champagne breakfast at Marriot Hotel before participating(watching) the historical drive via live broadcasting at various pitstops.
Cant wait to see both.
