hi all,

i know there are tons of threads about iphone/ipod compatibility with our rides but havent read any similar issue experienced by me.

My ride is 2005 PFL 320i with only AUX input in amrrest compartment.

when i connect my iphone4 to the AUX input, i am getting weak connection on the sounds. (sometimes soft/loud)

When i twist the cable ard the AUX input, it will be fix this erratic behaviour ocaasionally.

anyone experiencing this? went to PML and they said its becasue old modes do not have USB port - not compatible with iphone4.

sounds BS to me

Re: aux to iphone4

Either the aux port inside the armrest is faulty or time to change your cable. It didn't matter whether iphone 4 or no iphone 4.

Re: aux to iphone4

Bro,

the sometimes soft and loud u experience is probally caused by the sound / music coming from one side of the speakers (left or right). This issue is also probally caused by the cable. I experienced this as well as i play my music thri the aux jack from my iphone too... hehheheh But when i first bought the cable, there is no issue like this. Maybe you want to do a little experiement and c if its the cable?

cheers!

Re: aux to iphone4

Do you have a cover for your Iphone4?

i had that problem in my E90. then i realised that the cover on the phone, the jack hole size is too small, so my wire jack slips out after a while.

When i touch it and tighten it, it sounds better for a while...

my problem, might not be yours...

Re: aux to iphone4

Thks bros
I will experiment with new cable to see if the problem persists. Will feedback to this thread

Re: aux to iphone4

initially i had this problem...then i switch the cable around and it seems to solve it..

Re: aux to iphone4

I jus bot the 0.9m cable from epic centre, those flat type so tat u can close ur arm rest cover with the wire sticking out.
Swee swee n sounds good. Only thing is u need to max ur iPhone vol n ur vol on ur system need to put higher too. Rem to adj ur base n treble too when u r in aux mode.
$39 nia! Griffon brand.

Bros,
Anyway to increase the base volume?
Rason asking is even I turn up the volume, the AUX from iPhone still sound sound.
In addition, have a few occurance which accidentally forget to turn down the volume when switch back to Tuner or CD.
Sigh...

Re: aux to iphone4

You can try LOD cable, should give slightly better audio quality as it bypass the volume control.

Hi,

I believe the aux is for audio only and it doesn't provide for video play back.

Congrats on the new ride! :)
