BBS CH-R: lip or not lip?

can't seem to decide whether it looks nicer with the stainless steel ring around it or without.

top pic is with the lip on and middle is with the lip removed. actually that thing is suposed to be a stainless steel rim protector but i think even if you bua the kerb, lip or no lip also hong kan.

i got the idea from the bottom pic who took out the lip and powdercoated away the MOTORSPORTS wording and i thought it looks very nice. but could also be it looks nice cos his car is lowered.

now i keep thinking about getting coilovers to get the same look at the bottom pic. sianzzz$$$$

btw the rims are the same specs on my car and the bottom pic.

19x10.5 et25

but on his car looks so much nicer and BIGGER!!!!

Both also nice. The lip does provide a little protection for scrapes.

I think you should just protect the rims (even if its a little protection) considering how much you've spent

The without lip looks not much diff fr the Competition rims in black. Nice but common.

Hahaha looks like more people prefer to stock look of the competition package.

Anyway since the lips are destroyed after u remove I decided only to remove 2 pc on left side and take the next few days to decide. Maybe after lowering the car haha.

Anyway won't look funny cos no one can see both sides of the car at the same time

bro, cos the competition pack black ZCP rims are the nicest on the M3. haha..
Simple solution for u, fit the lips and paste black sticker. hehe..

no need to paste sticker la, i can just rip out the other 2 rim protectors

but quite tedious to rub away all the remnants of the 3M tape. use up one small bottle of GOO GONE when I did the 1st 2.

Cant go wrong with yellow, red, silver in that order of preference.

I think Yellow would suit much better. Gold doesn't give you as much contrast.

If you changed from competition wheel to this BBS CH-R, then I think it's a waste of money.
But if not, then good choice. It's really nice on the car.

My car unfortunately came stock with the 18 inch wheels. Wouldn't have minded to buy the Zcp wheels but no one was selling at that point. And if I'm going to buy new no point buying original ZCP wheels. I can't even imagine how much they would've cost. Prob same price as a nice set of HREs haha

OEM ZCP is cheaper than BBS CH-R tho not big gap.
U chose it right.
