Do not trust this person. He is a liar and a cheat.
Here is the situation:
I was selling my ASA SK1 with Stage 2 plus Teknic FMIC. He confirmed to buy at a price in which we both agreed upon. We also agreed that I would pack up the SC kit and send it to JB via Pos Laju (at my expense) for him to collect. Once he inspects the kit, he will then deposit the full payment into my bank a/c. I assumed he would be a sincere buyer, closing the entire transaction within a few days of the SC arriving into JB, thus I didn’t ask for a deposit.
The SC kit was packed and sent to JB. After it has arrived, I informed Felix that the kit is ready for collection. That’s when the problems begin. His 1st excuse was that his father had a heart attack 3 days ago, thus him requesting for a discount for he had to pay the medical bills. I told him I would absorb the cost of the shipping to JB instead of agreeing with his request for a SGD300 discount. He agreed. This was on the 19th November, 2007.
After that, it was delay after delay. Excuses after excuses of why he is unable to collect the kit in JB. His excuses:
1) he doesn’t know how to get around in JB
2) he is at his friend’s mercy to travel to JB
3) He is too busy (even weekends)
After this delaying tactic, he then tried to change the agreement by asking my friend who has the SC at his house to deliver it to S’pore for him. I informed him that this was not the agreement that we had. He agreed.
On the 26th November, he requested that he would settle the transaction fully in a weeks time.
On the 3rd Dec (Monday), he confirmed that he would go JB to collect the kit on the weekend.
On the 7th Dec (Friday) he postponed again. New date: Next Week.
On the 10th Dec (Monday). Replied that maybe he will be able to collect the kit the coming weekend. He later confirmed that he will collect on the 15th Dec.
On the 14th Dec, he requested that the kit be sent to him via post.
Since my show of goodwill by not asking a deposit seemed foolish on my part, I requested that he showed some goodwill by making a partial payment (50%). He ignored my request.
So my parents would be in S’pore on the 15th till 16th Dec. I asked him to make the payment to them. He replied saying that the banks are closed on Saturdays in S’pore. He even went to the extend to say that he is unable to withdraw money from his ATM as it’s above his credit limit.
At this point I requested for a confirmation that he is still interested in the SC kit. His reply was defensive. Since he asked for the reasons why I was unsure of his intentions, I listed out the excuses that he had given me.
His reply “ If you put it that way then forget it”.
After that my calls to him were either rejected or answered and hung up immediately.
So here are my reasons why he is a liar and a cheat:
1) He would use his own father as an excuse. If he was able to drive a E46 330i, I’m sure his father would have some sort of medical insurance that would pay for the medical bills. If he didn’t, then why ask for a SGD300 discount??????? Why not SGD1000 or simply apologize and back out from the deal. He even only requested the discount AFTER I informed him that the SC was ready for collection. He never even bothered to inform me of this when I updated him that the SC was being sent.
2) I’m out by about RM350 for paying for the SC to be sent via Pos Laju to JB.
3) A sincere buyer would not delay to such a period.
4) The number of lies and BS that this guy put out.
5) His lack of manners and courtesy.
6) The lies he fabricated about Singapore Banks being closed on Saturdays as well
as the lie that would not withdraw the amount to pass to my parents but saying that he had a credit limit.
For those that know him personally, be wary of him. Do not let yourself be a victim of this cheat.
If you have any information to add, please post it up here so the rest of the forumers can identify him.
Thank you.
