Nice car to own ..4.5 yrs now my Nov '93 316i(M). So far v reliable. Can't help taking a 2nd look each time I park. Not too expensive nowadays but be prepared to foot some $$ for wear and tear parts.

they're not difficult to find i think..but just familiarise urself with the car when u search..i've seen crap cars from dealers who dunno a lot about it... .. esp the wear and tear on major components..

why not buy the E46 Compact for her

the compact is not very shapely though....its either the E36 sedan or E36 coupe 320i...at least for me (waitaminute..i'm not the one driving it!!!..hmmm...) hehhe..

it came with the car....actually im not sure hw to tell if its a Hagus/Hamann mirror. I tot for E36s, only the M n ACS mirror is available.

look out for the last batch of e36 if you want (sold in second half of 1997 and later). they come in a series of cool metallic/pearlescent paint not available on earlier e36 models. includes lilac, blue-green, turquoise, deep red... mine lilac, bought from tai tai woman who hardly drove it.

316i auto is underpowered, but can hit 195-200 if you want to die. 318is is probably best, but damned hard to find. other engine specs include 320, 323, 328. have never seen a 328 around.

just watch out for the fuel consumption. damned scary.
