Ah... so it's really the Highline spec. If that's the case, some of the additional stuff for Highline specs, if I remember correctly, are:
iDrive + Navigation
Sunroof
Sports seats
Larger wheels
There are some other additional goodies but I can't remember all of them. Diff in price when new is close to 20k I think. iDrive + Navigation alone is a 9k option.

But I think its different for different models of cars. Not sure the 5 series XL got Sunroof or not.
In the past, they had several versions of the 320. Can't recall the names now but basically, cost more to buy but got additional items such as Xenon Lights, i-Drive etc...

Yes, those were the names I couldn't remember but XL is just (I think anyway) in reference to HighLine... How they came up with the term Highline, I am not sure. Nonetheless, it is a commonplace term now.

I think XL refers to xenon lights. I have a non-xenon lights High Line model, and the log card describes the car as "W/O XL". Dunno why they need to refer to xenons (or the lack of) in the model name!

I don't think I'm wrong but I don't think this applies ONLY to the 3 series - I may stand corrected.
But with the 5 series, the 525 and the 525XL - I think even the 520 comes with Xenon, so I don't think the 525 (w/o XL) comes without Xenons - Instead, I believe it is the equipment level.
Again, this is just from what I've seen. Anyone can confirm?

I was told that LTA started to specify factory installed xenon in vehicle registration to aid inspection in the future. Meaning, if a car does not have xenon indicated in their record and they see the lights has been "upgraded", they might issue fine.
Cannot confirm if this is true though.

Hello! I need some help with an Oct 2006 BMW 325i W/O XL.
If this car is exported today, there'll be a rebate of $51,450.
Consequently, how much is the body worth?
And how much should one pay for the car if sold locally?
The car is fully stock with GPS nav system.
