Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

BMW driver hesitated.....want dun want then lorry charging up too fast then he decided to go......too late.....

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

But u see the truck pick up so fast! I'm surprised. 10000cc w/o load! Power to weight ratio solid.

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

the truck pick up fast and the BMW is not right lane. Both are wrong :singsing:

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

This type of case TP will summon both. Then the insurance how? Who claim who?

Is it wrong to pick up fast?

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

By the way, what pick up are you guys talking about ?
Both vehicles are not moving off from standstill but already moving.
Title is misleading and TS have wrong idea.

And yes, as LimPeh have just said - anyhing wrong to pick up fast

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

Nothing wrong. I was looking at the video...is like a rolling start with the bmw ahead. But the truck seems to pick up speed much much faster....manual?

That is because of the change in the camera car speed relative to those vehicles being filmed
You should judge speed with regards to stationary objects and not those object in motion

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

Ok time to change to m-sport bodykit...

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

How much is F10 M spork kit with painting ?

Re: Bmw cannot beat a truck on pick up

Thread title is so very wrong... there's no pickup or rolling start thingy to begin with.

It just a normal acceleration versus another at speeding mode coupled with BMW driver's unawareness of his surrounding... any super car going at the pace the BMW was, will still end up like the BMW.

Any vehicle need to have a respectable amount of Hp/torque plus pedal-to-metal in order to pull away from a fast cruising vehicle.

Who is right or wrong... IMHO this case, both but the car might.bear less percentage of the claim.
