Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

I heard they just raise their prices because of COE. This mth got interest rebate from in-house bank and the service package

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

I just test drove the 320. Really a nice car. I used to own a E46 and I can tell you the new 320 is really better. What I heard is that the price is around 135K nett. anyone can confirm?

new car no need polish mah...

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

i would send it to a good grooming company for a proper paint sealant or wax polish. from what i know, the standard of most Pre-delivery inspection polishes that the dealers have CMI.

try groomworks at jalan tua kong. speak to yong. excellent service and attention to detail.

Congrats on ur new ride!

get a few layers of wax on ur paint work is a must... New car out from PML is raw plain w/o any protection on the paint work.

Might one to try.. talk of the bmw.sg now- "SFC" or reputable "Zaino Bros"..

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

i did glare when i first got my car. was pretty satisfied. ive since switched to zainol. i find its a better shine. but glare does seem to last a lot longer. but dont be deceived by the 18 mt warranty on glare. at the end of the day, whether you go for a good wax or any kind of pain sealant, i would advise you get a fresh coat at least every 3 -4 months.

Hi, was advice by the Sales the car will be polished before delivery... is it true? or I've to send it for polishing after collecting the car?? What about PML polishing service, any good?

Thanks.

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

Don't bother about letting them polish your car. Heck! They can't even wash a car properly without putting a few scrtaches on your car.

yup!!!.. dun let them touch ur car... no washes or watever... anyways.. the car will come nice on delivery day, a few days down.. muahahhaa... u wun wanna imagine. For me... i wld collect drive it for a week or 2 then i will send it for a full groom. Spa For Cars or Opel Cresent, both using the same products ... take ur time and check both out.. see which u prefer..

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

yes as i mentioned, as part of the predelivery thing that dealers do, they will give the car a polish. i cant speak for PML, but as far as im concerned, its really nothing i would depend on. especiallywhen you compare it to a good quality detailing place where they will claybar and do at least 2-3 coats of a good quality polish or sealant.

but in any event, whatever they do apply wont last forever, so if you want to preserve the quality of your paintwork, then it makes sense to get on to a grooming package and get started as soon as you take delivery of your car.

Re: Buying 320i, any advice?

Just curious! How much does Groomworks at Jln Tua Kong cost per visit? I go to market with wife there every weekend, so very convenient.

check prices at www.groomworks.com

if you have a word with Yong he may be able to offer you some special offers though. its generally better to buy their package than their one off treatments.

Firstly, congrats on your new ride.

Yeah, PML do polish your car cos you can't be collecting a dirty car! :whatthe: They'll tell you that you prolly won't have to polish it again anytime soon BUT their polish and wax doesn't really last. IMHO, go scout around for some good grooming centres and then send your new ride in.
