Can i mix different engine oil?

Hi ppl

This morning i checked my engine oil level. Its at the 1/4 mark liao. the car have not give me alert to topup yet...

Its a 2006 320i at about 122k km mileage liao.

Done about 8500km now from last servicing without any topup as yet and another 1500km to next servicing.

The engine oil now in use is castrol titanium. In case the car alert me to top up. Can i use my other remain shell helix ultra engine oil to topup? mixing the oil.....

as long as it is the same wt, ie 0/40 etc.

thats fine. as a top up. but i supposed if u need top up then ur car needs servicing soon...just drain the old n fill up with one new kind

I just need to do a bit topup too make it last to the next service.... Dun know i wanna do a full oil change now.

Just do an oil change. It's fine to do at 8,000km interval, especially on a high mileage car.

I have thought of that too. Top up like 500ml, instead 1L. But I drop the idea, worry engine ask for 1L, give 500ml. Machiam very stubborn.

So ended change engine oil at 7500-8500 interval.
Mine is 126k KM.

i think u guys got to ask urself...why do they hv different viscosity for engine oil in the first place......n then u hv ur answr whether its ok to mix oil.....damn duh.

its simply a method of testing if she is fertile during the month.....dont believe me? use ur finger, dab a bit...n pull the liquid apart.

Previously on E39, i do either simple oil change or servicing at 8k km. I heck care with the service indicator.

You can top it with 30wt oil, run for a while, it helps to loosen up all the clogs...
