Car clock slowing down...daily.

The clock in my car slows down like 5-10 mins everyday. Been reading up and some say it's the battery dying? After replacement will be fine?

Anybody experienced the same and can confirm that the battery replacement will solve the issue?

My clock is on time after battery replacement last year for year of manufacture 2008. Before battery replacement, it was a few minutes behind after a few days.

It's should not be the battery. If your battery is so weak that it cannot power a clock accurately then I don't think you can start your car at all. Most likely there's something wrong with your car clock.

Have you installed any ICE or car camera?

Camera yes. Ice no.

Camera I unplug when I parked...still same issue. But issue only apparent the last few weeks. Was fine before that

Re: Car clock slowing down...daily.

I had the same problem after I had a DVD player (the touchscreen sort with GPS) installed by a site sponsor. After a few months, I noticed that I was "losing" 1-2 minutes a day before the problem worsened to 4-5 mins a day. After I have that removed, I had no issues with the lost minutes. I understand from a bro that it is probably due to a wrong connection during set-up.

Like yours, the system shouldn't be draining battery while it's parked but somehow I was "losing" minutes.
