Hi all,

anyone had any experience in changing the coolant hose and pipe for e90? Any idea what is the damage like? please share.

depending on your current mileage, if over 120000km, you might just want to change the cooling system, radiator, hoses etc...

right side of the radiator leak, every 48h hv top up coolent tank full, OBC show low coolent level. usually hose will be chg as well.

Hi,

mine was claimed to have slight leak...according to Khang Auto....actually sent my car for Warranty claim (EO disappering with rear White Smoke)....which i suspected that the Valve Seal broken...and they inspected and said that yes...so while replacing the Valve seal..they spotted the Coolant hose leak
don't know how true...but the parts we changed.....maybe to cover the costs for the Valve seal. Anyway i paid SGD 400, for Coolant top up+Coolant hose+Coolant pipe.

Hi, my 6 year old 523 is also needing a coolant top up every 48 hours.
I sent it for a check ip with pml which showed now leak via a pressure test.
They said coolant may be leaking into the engine ???? How is that possible and what are the consequences ??

Cld I get a recommendation for a workshop in the east please ??

My E90 is also under TWM warranty and have been topping up coolant every 48 hrs or so. Shouldn't the coolant hose/pipe be covered by the warranty as well? Anyway I will be visiting their workshop this afternoon to find out for myself.

according to theM THE warranty DOES NOT COVER....all hose/pipes....did try to nego...but didn't work. just to share.

In that case I think I will visit BVO instead. I believe they are more competent than the mechanics at Khang Auto.

Visited khang auto today and they detected leaks in the radiator and a few hoses. Not covered by warranty as these are considered wear and tear items, so decided not to let them do the repairs. Also complained about oil leak and they did honour the warranty and have approved the claims for the replacement of 2 gaskets, will send in the car another day to get it fixed.

Went to bvo after that to fix the coolant leak problem. Replaced the radiator and all coolant hoses and pipes. Total cost about $1.2k, time taken about 2hrs+.

Likely is radiator cracked. I think radiator shd crack before water jacket in the engine. Water pump can be also. I went J2D for radiator chg.
