CSC Price

Hi,

Just wanted to find out if $285 for CSC is considered ok?
This is from Stamford Tyres at East Coast.
In anycase, I took a stab in asking for $250, and the salesperson kept the tyre
he was showing me; and told me not to change my tyres.
I walk away and promised myself that I am not going back to Stamford ever again.
Well, another bad service experience case-in-point.

So, can someone point me to a better tyre shop?

Sorry to hear your experience with a lousy sales person.
Couple of good shops that I can recommend: South East Tyres at Kaki Bukit or Hurry Tyres at Bt.Timah (corner Farrer Rd)

The CSC u mentioned above, wot size was it and was it CSC or CSCII?

Re: CSC Price

I go to Hurry along Bukit Timah Road. Personally, I think the CSCs are terrible tires, especially for the price. You can get much better tires at a much better price.

Re: CSC Price

CSCs i find are not very good. better if you got PS2 instead. around the same price also.

Re: CSC Price

I have the usual staggered setup - 225 X 45 X 17 setup.
The $285 is for the CSC 1.
Thanks for the input so far.

Hi !

You should consider Bridgestones SO3 or Micheline PS2.

These tyres are much better than CSC1 and CSC2. These CSC tyres suck big time in wet :(

I have driven a Sport Edition 318i with only 8000KM on those CSC1 tyres. When I drove down my condo basement car park after heavy downpour, these tyres spin like crazy. As if I was on ice :( But they are fine on dry road (IMHO).

Price should be around S$270 (SO3) and S$320 (PS2) for 225/45/17" :)

You should consider PS2 :)

If you want cheaper tyres, then Goodyears F1 (Made in Germany) is about S$200 to S$210.

Hope these information is useful to you :)
