Dilema! Bros, please advise!

I recently changed my exhaust to Remus and my filter to Hurricane drop in (also sprintbooster & air scoops) because I wanted to have that "shiok sound"that my previous jap rides were always giving me.. But after the change, I found that the exhaust sound is somewhat only a little louder at low rpm, and stock like at 3 up.. !


I've done a lot of reading but the more I read, the more confused I'm getting, complete noob!

I would like to up the tone of the ride, like as loud as legally possible, please advise brothers, should I do an open pod/ air intake because that seems to be the last straw liao, and if so, which one should I get for maximum sound effect?

Very disappointed at the moment, mods were not cheap, and sounds only a little better(louder) than stock:verysad:
Although performance has improved significantly thanks to sprintbooster..


Also, if you could help include the est cost of the intake you recommend and ws to get it done at I would be very grateful..

I'm on a 320 2010 btw..4 potter so I'm not expecting too much, but definitely a whole lot more than this..:thinking:

Had LTA approved Remus on previous E46 4pot and it was much louder than stock so not sure why yours is different. As for intake, don't install open pod intake unless you can isolate it from heat of engine. Lost of power after engine fully warmed up since intake was sucking in hot air. Had the open pod intake removed & went back to stock intake, but kept Remus exhaust.

4 potter options are limited.

Remus or any after market exhaust would not increase the "noise" much due to the displacement.

Sprint booster does not improve performance, it just makes your pedals lighter.

Last option if U want legal sound, is to go for GruppeM. Ex but there's some sound

Thanks bros! So I guess the only viable option here would be to get GruppeM.. Hopefully it'll satisfy the itch.. There are no other advisable options right? Are the prices roughly the same for this installation at the WS? Anyone can recommend a good place to do it? Thanks again guys, appreciate it!

ps- also, I read that GruppeM is kindda made almost similar to our stock intakes, but only diff is that it's made from CF, is there any truth in this? How much of a sound improve are we talking about? Same as the upgrade from the stock to Remus exhaust?

about 2 months... I travel from pasir ris to jurong and back 6 days a week so it should be a little more run in by now?

There is no replacement for displacement. Buy 335 & lup Akra. Song song kao Jurong.

lol... thanks guys, well, on the brightside, there's not much else that needs spending money on I guess except the upkeep of the car.. so is it safe to say, the GruppeM intake is the best bet for sound and performance? I'm planning to retune after changing my rims, possibly early next year, so what ever I'm planning to do should fall before that to wrap up the project..

Juz trade in 320 for 335. No use holding on to 320 if u like something loud loud.

When i newly installed my Remus, it was almost silent as stock for first 10k mileage, after that...... little lamb became roaring lion liao. You need long run to burnt all fibreglass in muffler then it will roar like sore throat.

Tell you change car...

Change grupp air intake open pod close pod all same same. Iron man shield or force field shield still no use.
Dun see other YouTube e90 loud u also do.

Seriously you do not know what's under their hood.

Next for money spent on air intake n exos u willing to have little say 5-10 pct horse?
Maybe u need to go into tunnel then switch to manual mode downshift n rev to get the sound ?

Solid sound change car, lup turbo, change ime ...

What budget do you have ?

End of the day pocket deep change car better or illegal mods better ?
U do the Maths...
