Do all Z4 side mirrors come with heating mechanism?

I noticed that my z4 mirrors are always warm...close to hot due to the heating mechanism always running. This may have been the norm for Eurpean and US cars which experience colder climates but doubt, it's of any use in Singapore's already hot climate. Any bros also have this problem on their Z4 or is mine unique? How do we turn this off to avoid being scalded accidentally? Unless, you are in the US where you can sue McDonalds for their hot coffee scalding you when you clumsily drip it all over yourself, don't think much benefit to our very strict no nonesense judicial system to try pulling such stunts and suing BMW AG if you are being burnt so might as well try to figure how to disable the damned heater...any ideas?

Cheers/ Jericho :furious: hot..hot..

Jericho,

My mirrors run hot too. It's good during the rain but I don't know how to switch it off when dry. I place my hand on the mirror when I drive sometimes and it's not scalding hot. Maybe you need to drive faster to get more air to cool the mirror down.
