Yesterday I was driving along Sim Ave, saw the Geylang Durian Stall and suddenly got craving so stop along the side and decided to buy one. Stall-owner asked me how many i want. I said 'One and average grade will do(not selling by weigh kind)'... While he was selecting... He asked me eating here or packed? I said 'packed'. He opened a few big ones and just threw below the tables... I know he was keeping it cos those could sell more than the stated price there... Nmind I continue see him acting pro... He tot I wanna packet so can stunt me with the lousy ones... Finally he chose one... Then he said 'Take the whole fruits hor?'... I replied 'No, packed in a box for me'... Reluctantly he did and scooped out 4 pathetic seeds from 2 sections only... Durian lovers will know average size durian have at least 3 sections and 6seeds, more is bonus... Then I look at him and said 'Like that only...' He just kept quiet and packed, pretending not to hear... Skali this 4 hongkong tourists walked in and said "猫山王... 猫山王..." then suddenly his hearing normal again... So high and faster attend to them... I just fed up and paid up... So I know liao, if packet they will play stunts and give those lousy ones... Sibeh TL so go to my usual Durian Stall and buy the same size and grade durian... Went home I kept quiet and asked my wife to try both packets... Immediately she said the 4seeds one CMI!!! Geylang durian... Pui!!! :bullshit: Very dishonest sellers :biggun:

durian seller saw you drive your F10 izzit?? haha
no need to go to gl to buy.....too hyped up
i prefer the rochor one but seems like they no longer selling.
next best alternative is chinatown (behind CK dept store) which is near to our places

i go to balestier. COMBAT the name of the stall.

hahaha... maybe la... nb... this is my first time there... my usual stall jus opp tiong bahru plaza... they sell good durians... u shld try bro... near our places...

I heard abt balestier one too... which part of balestier??? Balestier very big...

I like 猫山王 bcos I only can eat max 4-5 seeds and I either buy from Balestier or Toa Payoh..

Normally people go Malaysia pluck papaya not durian.....Btw u dont pluck durian u wait for them to drop...

I usually go Lorong Lew Lian and wait for them to drop...... got Cat Hill King somemore.....

Go to Balestier and look for Auntie Sindee of Sindee's Durian. They might not have stock so you might need to leave your name. It's expensive but worth every cent.

tio. i tried this shop too... but it doesn't seem to open daily.

Same experience I had at the HDB Durian Shop at Toa Payoh Lorong 8. I was pretty angry, another couple there also kanna at the same time and look unhappy, looked at us with the How look... all LL and left

Whether you get to eat Auntie Sindee's durian will depend on your luck. You're right that they don't open daily but most of the times, they will sit there and swat flies with no durians. No durians cuz they go whenever they come. The smell is unbelievablly strong that I couldn't drive with my windows closed after picking up the durian. I was feeling dizzy! But the taste is superb! If you like very rich durians, this is the one.

Why Auntie Sindee durian so special??? Tot all got their supply from Malaysia especially state of Pahang...

Where is this Auntie Sindee stall? Is it the same shop "Combat" that toto mentioned? wah, sound so yummy... die die must try... I also go for quick fix at Goodwood Park durian produces, pudding, etc... only available every Apr-July...

The best durians I had ever tried was the ones at the foothill of Genting. Simply awesome.

sindee rip off la..used to go to her...now i think she too atas....expensive too.

sindee at the temple. combat is after that big hotel at the end..near TTSH side. both stalls close to each other.
