E90 & F10 Angle Eye

I've seen some F10s & F30s with some very nice & bright angle eye on the road during broad daylight, but haven't really get the chance to see such bright angle eye on E90 during day time.

Are there any difference in the AE ring on E90 (LCI & pre LCI) and F10 like maybe CCFL/tube or is it just the bulb playing the trick?

Will i be able to achieve similar brightness like the F10/F30 on E90 after replacing the bulb or it's different kinda manufacturing parts?

Thanks guys.

Hi.... I believe E90 is a glass tube for AE ring reflecting light from a bulb placed below the ring in the headlight housing.

F10 is LED AE ring... brightness definitely brighter.

jasonmaxima is right.

E90 uses regular "tungsten filament" light bulbs. The E92/93 LCI and F series cars all use LED, so the color temperature will be different.

You can replace E90 with LED bulbs, but take note that because LED lights are more directed, you will need to buy those that are pointing the right way to get your AE rings to light up properly.

angle eye? how many degrees? 45?

Re: E90 & F10 Angle Eye

u shd ask Bimshop to explain to you all the types of AE available….

Re: E90 & F10 Angle Eye

the AE on F10s, F20s, F30s and some lci models are nice to have but never can have cos of the differences in the headlight designs and optics layout.
i think this question has been posted many many times and i have answered many times as well.
unscrupulous sellers will tell u anything also eh sai, can make as bright as F10.
i can only say "my foot ah" hahaha

for bros interested in how ae works, do feel free to check out the writeups we have done on the threads posted in our Bimshop folder

Thanks for all info provided, appreciate.

Sorry, didn't realise there were similar threads, should have check before starting a new post.

Bro Steven, are we able to achieve anything similar or close like the F series AE ring brightness on an E90 LCI headlight?

Thanks.

Re: E90 & F10 Angle Eye

Quick answer is no.

The F series corona rings are designed differently from the start to accomodate LED light sources. The E90s are using halogen bulbs. If you replace them with "white" halogen bulbs it will still look yellowish. If you replace with LED chances are you get one ring bright one ring dim.

Replacing with LED bulbs will get uneven brightness on both rings huh..

Sign, thought of replacing mine with LCI headlights & change brighter bulbs can liao..... :verysad:
