E93 Dashboard Symbol

Hi,

Anyone can advice what does this symbol mean? It pops up only when I shift into "D" or "N" and it disappears when I drive off. It looks like it is warning the driver to step on the brakes. But I am already applying pressure on the pedal.

It’s a reminder for you to step on your brakes before changing gears.

Thanks for the advice... but I am already stepping on the brakes. Had the car for over a year and have always been stepping on the brakes when shifting. Not sure if it is a sensor issue?

Yes, there’s a sensor. If you step harder, does the light go off? If it doesn’t, it’s possible that the sensor is faulty, if it can shift with the light on.

I can shift without any issues. Guess the sensor is faulty. Will check out at workshop. Thanks
