Hey guys, I am aware that such a question might have been discussed to death but the search function yielded rather fragmented results even after two coffees; I am now too caffeinated and delirious to continue searching so here goes my own question. Be nice.
I am on a stock (performance parts wise) pre-LCI E93 325; been wondering lately if I could get a little oomph (aurally) from the exhaust. I accept that I am not quite THE spirited driver like in most of you but I do make an attempt to tailgate all Italias when I can, if I can (I can't). The most recent being 6:45 a.m. this morning. I just really wish for a better sound from the exhaust; it does sound embarassingly meek even at 6000 rpm.
I gathered from here that I should work on the exhaust first. I suspect I might start and stop there too. Assuming I do exactly just ONLY that for the sole purpose of an aural high, could someone kindly advise on which LTA-approved exhaust and its virtues? I read a couple of brands being thrown around but hope to obtain more colour. Bonus if you could share its indicative cost. Double New Year bonus if you actually have one to let go.
