Hi guys
Jus wondering if anyone would know the rotor size of the f10 M5 bbk..
From wat I heard its 6pot with 400mm rotor...

F 400x36 R 396x24 both 6 pots..... and carbon ceramics

Salah...

Disc sizes are right but
Calipers front is 6 pot
Rear is single piston
Steel rotors as standard

Possible option is carbon ceramic like seen in RS6.

At least that is what I can see from pics
Tho spec sheet says 6...... Doubt it lor.

GTS , X6M, X5M has 6/4 configs

the conceptcarz also got the wheels size wrong... 19in.
Wahahaha.. It is damn 20 so can house 400mm rotors..
Tho some 19 can house 400 as well i think..
But in so far, all media hv not shown the car in 19.

But I think brembo gt or any other third party you will lose the parking brake. So hopefully m5 bbk can still retain this feature.

Parking brake as in hand brake?
Of coz it will be retained. I have used many after market BBKs of mainstream brands and all my parking brakes work

Unfortunately I heard from workshop if you change the rear brakes on the f10 you will lose the eletronic parking brakes. There is no hand brake anymore on the newer series.

One qns I have is does changing the front brakes alone improve the brake performance in everyday driving?

I personally enjoyed the 6 pot front brembo gt on my previous e60 on daily trips to office and home. Now, hated those stock brakes but dunno if it's safe to go for aftermarket bbk for f10.

Ah then it makes sense not to touch the rear brakes then

For a start, stock bmw brakes are very good.
If anything, u only change it becoz of a want, not a need
And bear in mind of the brake bias if you just do the front.
