F30 316: reasonable ride? Any major/ common issues?

Dear all, am considering the f30 316 now, and will like advise fm current, ex owners. Thanks in advance.

if u like it, just get it!

if u can afford to spend more, get 320/328/335 or M3, if not, just stick to it!

to answer ur question, the ride is nice, will be better if it has more power, but, being a 316, tt's what we pay for, cant complain much.

Pros - Nice ride, interior, handling and of course fuel efficient (even without auto start/ stop)
Cons - Lack of power when carrying 4 adults

If you ferry people around a lot, go for higher cc.
If you are mostly alone in the car, like to open the throttle once in a while. Or ferry a small family, then it's pretty practical.

i prefer the drive and power delivery of the c180. though similar in engine capacity the 316 feels underpowered at higher revs. but the 316 WAS better equipped, until recently.

u want feedback from a driver's perspective (which IMO is not relevant in Sg roads) or the Class perspective?

If class perspective, getting a BMW 316i is more class than getting the top of the range 3.5ltr Honda Accord Mugen tuned yah?

Remember to put 328i badge n change from single tip exos to twin tip behind like one of the bros here n M-Sport body kit is a must. Sport mode make car faster oso, so remember to drive in the sport mode.

IMO, a 316 is a better car than a GTR, cause when you tell people (like Arsenal62) about your ride at a party, just say BMW can liao. Don't even need to dwell on performance or delivery. Don't even need to go down to model number or allow the other people to talk about their LS460 or GTR.

From a fan boy perspective, F30 316 is for badge whore.

1.6L TC is only meant for 1 series or Mini.
