F30 328i engine temperature too high after 10 min of driving

This happened twice - yesterday and today.

Checked engine compartment and there seems to be no blockage of any sorts. Any idea what I can do to try and remedy?

No it's not... the engine overheat warning light came on shortly after.

Nothing you or any armchair mechanic can do here, have it towed to a workshop

only happened in Sport mode? after some spirited driving?
