F30 Memory Seat

Just to check, to recall the memory seating, do we have to press the M1 or M2 memory button all the while when it is adjusting?
I was hoping that just to press the respective button once and the seat will adjust accordingly.
I read the manual and it states something like there is a difference between door closed or open.
I tried both door closed and open, I still had to press the buttons all the while the seat is adjusting otherwise it will stop adjusting.

No issue on tat ba bro.... quite like it cos really hv hard time finding the position i like. Its a +++++...press abit longer no problem de lah. Set m1 4 my driving position. M2 4 my nite activity...ops!!!

Engine running, press the button all the way until the adjustment stop, maybe safety feature in case someone decide or accidentally press the button, you wouldn't want the seat to squeeze you or put you in a "i cannot see anything" position.

Engine not running, one press it will go to where it should be, but if you press wrong kena sandwich don't comprain lor...

2. Switch off the ignition.

Safety mode
1. Close the driver's door or switch on the ignition.
2. Press and hold the desired button 1 or 2 until

No wonder TS dunno ..... The manual never say which finger to use.
