Failed overall.
retest same place is free.
it was weird when i saw a car dealer went there with a new Civic type R with tints darker than mine all round. no need meter also know illegal.
i thought this place must be quite slack if dealer will tint the car with illegal tint even b4 inspection.
10 mins later, i saw the dealer removing all the window tint in the car park!

LTA is very on the ball now. They will use a meter and tell you exactly how much you fail by. You don't have to pay for reinspection I suspect but the fine is unavoidable.
FYI, they are going very strict on the carplate now. It must be securely fastened and no euro plates allowed.
I learnt it the hard way. Sending car back for reinspection tomorrow.

just send my daily car for inspection.
according to my mech, nowadays the inspection centres are very strict. they are currently on the look-out for tinitng, license plate and modded exhaust...
i had to change my exhaust back to the original before i could pass the inspection, whereas previously it was a breeze....

think the strictness of the tints is due to some high profile crashes involving super cars in recent times. one of the drivers claim that his tints were too dark, preventing him from seeing the cyclist crossing the road. since then mata start clamping down on dark tintspeckhs;481685 said:
