just did a mileage chk on my car as i saw some threads talk abt FC of BMW.
[/ATTACH]
mostly abt 12km/litre if speed is 70kph ave
so the new BMW engine really can do better than some mid-size engine like the famous Cefiro!:laughlik:

Re: FC on 5 series

Which 5 series are you driving?

Re: FC on 5 series

me mostly start-stop driving. average is doing 6.5km per litre

Re: FC on 5 series

its a 525 Brudder..
shock? formerly i drive the bloody Cefiro 230, only can clock 10k/litre at best
:nehnehhh:

Re: FC on 5 series

If you can get 12km/l, x 60litres means one full tank can hit above 700km?

I think it is better to judge based on average mileage over a full tank to be more realistic.

My OBC shows approx 6km/l most of the time due to mostly city driving.

u r rite, depending on yr driving, hw & city, so my pic is ave 70kph..if below that, FC will be higher.
My OBC now oso show abt 8k/l, so i guess trip computer calculate FC accumulatively...
but hey! its better than my previous "sei-fey-lo" man!:lol2:

my 523i on full tank vpower mostly city driving does abt 480km

My 523i on full tank Shell 98 mostly city driving never hit above 400km!

On the other hand, my C180 on full tank consistently hit 580-600km!

Very different cars so can't really compare though...

average speed of 70 kph and distance covered around 30km?...forget mate not enough to gauge an accurate fuel consumption. these trips are only on highway over a short distance so don't be fooled. N52B25 is doing 7++ to 8 km/l with 50/50 city/hwy

Re: FC on 5 series

E39 M54B22 70%city/30%hwy ~7km/L.
On NSH wif constant spd of 150km/h ~11.5km/L

wow, same like 325i FC.... :yummie:

Re: FC on 5 series

I am getting about 8 to 9 km/l for my new E60 520i on Shell Power, with 70%city 30%hwy (i think).
