Dear Bros,
I thought I post my feedback on my recent trip to KL.
I visited an established Michelin dealer who's been in business for a long time and a family friend hoping to get a better deal on a set of PS2s.
I got a quote on the following setup for a total of RM4,880 nett after discount. Price include installation. At an exchange rateof $1=RM2.3, that works out to be $2,122.
F: 235/40/18 --> RM1,160/$504 per tire
R: 265/35/18 --> RM1,280/$556 per tire
The boss there told me that since I'm based in SG, I'm better off buying my tires here in SG. He explains that import duties are much cheaper in SG resulting in savings of c. RM200 per tire! ($87 per tire)
Any comments from the bros here? Anyone has quotes for the above setup to compare. Are PS2s cheaper in SG than KL?
2. I don't know my way around SG that well - Does anyone have the address and contact details of Poh Heng? I've gone thru the threads and Poh Heng seems to come highly recommended.
3. As an alternative, thinking of checking out Goodyear FI as well. Where's the best place I can go? I've search the threads and these names come up - Leong Seng, Chin Wah, South East, Hurry, Knight Auto.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
B
