Fitting E46 M3 xenon projector lights on normal E46 Ci

Hi,

Am thinking of fitting the original E46 M3 headlights onto my 318Ci.
Other than buying the whole system from PML, can I simply:

1. buy the M3 headlight cluster
2. buy aftermarkey xenon lights
and just plug and play.

Understand that the levelling function will be gone, but is it as simple as what I mention above?

Thanks for the advice.

I assume yours would be the pre-FL model?

There are aftermarket projectors for your ride. Some of our forummers here have done exactly what you have mentioned.

1.) Purchase the Projector headlight assembly
2.) Purchase aftermarket HIDs / Xenons

Its a Plug and Play.

However if I'm not mistaken, there will be a headlight fault indicator that will light up in your odometer cluster. That can be easily resolved by a simple reset done either at BVO or Just For Cars.

U will need to re-code the light module else your Xenon will behave like strobe lights

Yes u can just get the Xenon from PML or Eng Soon and install, just need some workshop with the DIS or Modic ! to get it coded...

The autolevelling will not work after that. It will still be level and u can adjust it manually to point it slightly dipped, no prob there...

Cheers
