Fixing Dent on Back Bumper (fibre Glass)

Hi All,
Need an advice here on behalf on a friend.
My friend's car, a 3 months old E60, was happily kissing a pole and as a result, the back bumper is dented slightly.

To fix this, he is thinking of changing the whole bumper.

However, I remember that someone ever mentioned to me that you can fix a dent on a bumper by heating it up and push back the fibre glass.

So, I would advice on:
1. Is Heating up the bumper the only method of fixing a bumper dent besides changing the whole bumper? Is there other method?
2. Which workshop can he go to to fix his bumper if heating up or other method are available?

thanks a lot in advance!

Cheers n gd luck

Well, another cheap way is to fill the dent with putty and respray the bumper!
