Keen, but can anyone provide some advice?
* Can this fit 4-cyl 3 series? Mine's a 318 valetronic.
* Any clearance issue with rims. I am using BMW alloy 89, 8J x 17, offset ET 47
* Currently using Sach sports suspension. Any compatibility issue if I choose to keep the springs?

yes bro,it will ANY E46, as long it's a E46, then no problem. No known or heard of any clearance before and there will no compatibility issue if you choose to use SACHS springs! So no worries bro!!
