Re: Futsal (Street Soccer) - Turf City - 19th September, WEDNESDAY

I loved the new pitch. However serious note to all, competitive or leisure... pass the ball in this new pitch. Notice how the losing team controlled the game in the first 15mins?
This pitch is wider but provides for alot of enjoyment to even those who are not technically skilled. A passing game involves everyone and makes his money worth (lol). But really the pitch is wider and until we are used to it, dribbling doesnt work here, running too much depletes your stamina, I really endorse passing it around, it worked for the winning team in the second half where most of us were tired, so imagine how much energy we could have saved if we started earlier. I always said chasing the ball is energy wasting, you really conserve energy holding onto the ball, we're all gonna have to re-look at ourselves. Of course even if its for enjoyment, and we all wanna enjoy, please dont have your team mates chasing your selfish mistake, lose the ball, chase it, be fair. If you dont want to chase a lost ball, give it away quickly. I'm serious, pity your team mates and not give the excuse that you are here for leisure, you do the rest more harm really, give it a thought.
As for the dribblers... proven that when the least technically gifted players come up against you in swarms, you lose. Think again. I did think they might do better in a bigger pitch but on the evening, not really.
Last note, there are newbies you know who you are. No wrong that you are chasing fitness, good to build, please come more often and rotate as keeper when necessary, at least you are still in play, takes time to build your stamina, well done!

+1,000,000,000,000.........

Dribblers and glory hunters - please take note. Both soccer and futsal are teamsports. If you can beat the opponents by yourself, form a team with yourself alone.

Yours Sincerely,
Xavi
