Gear Slip, Coolant Warning Light

Hi guys,

Have been experiencing minor gear slip during morning start up on my '06 E90. After warm up no prob leow.....

Does changing ATF helps?

Just changed radiator n hoses....the light still come up...top up water in expansion tank....light go off...some where crack?

Think gonna go do major servicing leow.....haizz:verysad:

If radiator and hoses have been replaced, might wanna consider changing water expansion tank....

But before that check if coolant is not leaking into engine.... Try opening up engine oil top-up cover, and see if the oil is milky brown (like teh colour) or dark black (like kopi-o). Also, if water is present in the engine oil, then the engine oil top-up cap should also have signs of milky-brown deposits. This is due to the water evaporating (hot engine) and condensing there...

As for ATF, can try replacing ATF fluid.... my guess is that if you haven't changed ATF fluid from day one, the ATF oil pan might be leaking already, and you might be marginally low on ATF fluid (that's why happened to me!).... So after replacing ATF fluid and filter, car feels like new again! =)
