Great job Revol

Took me a long time deciding where to go to have my car's paintwork protected and groomed .. Been lurking in the forums hearing all the great things and best, seeing all the pics of excellently groomed cars coming out of Revol .. So decided finally to go see Gavin yesterday .. And OMG!!!!

The job they did to my X6 .. Left me speechless .. The white looked whiter .. Shine looked shinier .. Lines looked curvier .. Even the headlamp covers lolled so clean I thought for a moment they weren't there!

From the grooming to the service, Revol and Gavin are notches above the competition :)

Thanks guys for a great job!! :)

Re: Great job Revol

Re: Great job Revol

grooming standard is ok only, not say so fantastic that jaw drop. got some places not thoroughly cleaned. better check your vehicle carefully before leaving the workshop.

dent removal is really sub-standard. some are half-done (meaning that you can tell that a dent used to be there), while others are untounched because they don't have the skill to do it. i strongly suggest revol get out of dent removal business as it is not an expert in this field.

staff's attitude are passable, but we customers look at end result. if result no good, big smile also no use!!

But you are entitled to your own opinion. No good must say no good, good then say good.

Hi karkar,

Foremost thank you for your feedback.

Have sent you a Pm and would like to find out more of the details.

My sincere apology and No excuses for the overlook in certain area in car grooming job scope.

We can understand the frustration when dents are not able to remove 100% where every owner would want it to be.

However, we may need to seek your kind understanding on the paintless dent removal.

Paintless Dent Removal is a technology to massage out the dents without the needs of car spray painting to restore the original looks of the car panel.

It can be perform in 2 methods

1. Using Paintless Dent Removal tools to massage out the dent and gentle knocking to restore the original look before dent created.

However method 1 cannot be perform if the dent is located at area that is non accessible; at near edges and behind safety bars.

When the above scenario happen , our paintless dent removal specialist will use the following 2nd method.

2. Using special paintless dent removal suction tools to suck out the dents

This method will not achieve as prefect as method 1 as the process cannot be control by the professional skill where method 1 is going to be performed using hand tools.

However, the 2nd method cannot be perform if dent got paint crack or peeling as method 2 may cause the paint to crack or peel off more further.

It cannot be perform also at body line due to the shape limitation of the suction caps.

When the above both methods cannot work to remove the dent paintlessly and car owner still find hard to accept to have the dent on their car…

Car owner will need to use the final method which is car spray painting to remove the dents.

Car spray painting will no longer be in the job scope of paintless dent removal as car paint; lacquer; at times wielding; pudi will be use in the process.

As much as We Revol Carz Makeover and our paintless dent removal specialist would like and want to restore back every dent as perfect as possible, there is still a limitation where paintless dent technology can achieve.

In our many years of providing paintless dent removal services to our customer, we have seen lots of smile and received numerous sincere thanks from our customer who have been continuing supporting us all along.

We will continue to bring additional services; joy and happiness to our customers who are enjoying using our services.

I strongly believe there may be a lack of explaining to you of why the dent cannot be remove that leads to your current frustration.

We fully understand your frustration and hope you could kindly get back to me either through Pm or you may wish to contact me at Hp: 9740 6855 so we could understand more of the details and to further improve our grooming and dent removal services rendered to you.

Hope the above information will helps in more understanding in paintless dent removal limitation.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for your kind understanding once again.

Cheers,

Re: Great job Revol

i appreciate the clarifications by revol.

revol's grooming is better than those setups in multi-storey carparks. i am not expecting 100%. me as a customer don't mind pointing out the 3 or 5% missed out, as long as you guys follow up on it promptly and without hassle. grooming is your core business, and i think your company is still doing ok in this aspect.

in theory, dent removal can be done using the 2 methods you mentioned. in practice, the result could greatly differ depending on the skill of the person doing it. i wasn't happy with the result of revol's PDR, so i went to another workshop (won't name it here, but if one does some thorough online research, one might be able to find out who's the real expert in this field). thankfully, now all properly done. no excuses whatsoever. when i was there, saw another 5-series bimmer with serious dents on the bonnet. and another M series with quite a nasty door dent. how i wish i knew about this workshop earlier, then i save the hassle of going through the process twice.

as the job is now completed to my satisfaction, i don't wish to bother myself with it anymore. my postings here are just to share my experience. i learned that when someone tells you it cannot be done doesn't mean it really cannot be done. if a family doctor cannot cure your heart problem, doesn't mean you wait and die. you can go to a heart specialist. yes, it may cost more, but the job gets done. if we can afford it, why not.

Hi karkar,

Thank you for your compliments on our car grooming services.

Have not receive your 1st Pm reply and have sent you a 2nd Pm and hope to receive your reply to understand more of the details.

At Revol, each of our individual paintless dent removal specialists has different level of skill. Our Master paintless dent removal specialist has more than 8 years of history and is guarantee one of the recognize dent master in town.

Below is one of his works done with satisfaction.

http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/revol-carz-makeover-pte-ltd/64540-paintless-dent-removal-5.html

Hope you do not mind me sharing my 2 cents worth as per below…

Normally, if I use a service provider and I am not happy with the service provided or feel more improvement can be done even the person tell me cannot, I will try to speak to the management to let them know my concern and in most cases, solutions and improvement will be done to rectify.

I personally feel outcome turnout will become simpler to handle and less frustration will occur too.

Sharing an experience be it good or bad are welcome as to share and to improve services rendered but strongly suggesting someone to get out of the business may sounds harsh.

I hope to receive your Pm reply so I could further understand more details on the incident to improve our services even better.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for your kind understanding once again.

Cheers

Re: Great job Revol

i appreciate the effort to follow up on my case, but how does it serve my purpose? i have spent a couple of hundred dollars to rectify the half-baked job done by revol. to me, it's a clear-cut case with clear-cut results. 8 years is just a number, i have an ex-colleague who was 15 years with the company and still asked to leave because he can't perform. yes, revol has received some positive feedback on its PDR, but was there no negative feedback? some unhappy customers just kept quiet and take their car to a more competent workshop. am i harsh to even suggest revol get out of the PDR business? not at all. if one does a half-baked job, one may get sacked by the boss. i have cautioned many of my friends not to go to revol for PDR, but if they want to get the grooming service, i won't say anything. i look at results, nothing else. if i even have to spend the trouble complaining to "management", then it's not worth my while. hope you understand!

Re: Great job Revol

Karkar, u are maybe one in 1000 who hates Revol's PDR and I will respect that, then you move on to a better one you deem fit. you then give negative feedback and I still respect that.

But to suggest someone get out of a business is indeed harsh n unwarranted. You may not like this stall of fish ball noodles but there are others out there who like it. So based on your review, the fish ball stall must close dwn??

Be reasonable.

Re: Great job Revol

Agree with MW. Business is all about economics.. If service/quality is consistently bad then customers will naturally go to competitors.. And without asking the company to leave the business they will naturally close eventually. On the contrary, if business is expanding, it's probably a different statement the rest of the world is making. :)

Re: Great job Revol

MW, i am entitled to my comment. if a hawker is expert in producing world-class fish ball noodle, he will have many customers coming to try his fish ball noodle. if he then decides to also branch out into western food, but can't turn out delicious steak, fish & chips, etc. then it makes sense for him to just focus on fish ball noodle. do you get the logic now???

in the service line, word of mouth is very important. revol should just focus on its key business of car grooming and grow its reputation in that. based on my experience, its PDR sucks and i am not going to mince my words.

Re: Great job Revol

By the way, MW, where do you get the statistics of me being 1 in 1000 who hates revol's PDR? i think you have a very twisted sense of logic. you should be the one who should be reasonable !!!

Re: Great job Revol

Hi karkar,

We have not receive your reply after sending you two Pm.

I have send you a 3rd Pm and hope to receive your reply in Pm.

If there is still no reply, we will move on.

However, your identity as a Revol customer will remain unclear.

What do you gain if you continue in your way in this manner?

You can stop as many people as you want to visit Revol but end of the day, our many happy customers will still refer their friends to us because of our good services and results we delivered.

I guess the best way to prove how good our more than 8 years experience mastercraft skill is not by words but by action and results delivered.

May I sincerely invite you to give me a call at hp: 9740 6855 to arrange a visit to our workshop and see the end results of the dents that are being removed by our Revol 8 years experience mastercraft paintless dent removal specialist before you continue in your way?

Please take note that we have more than one paintless dent removal specialist in Revol.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Re: Great job Revol

i do not know why you still don't get it. all the dents have been removed nicely. there is nothing on my car now for your specialist to demo.

what i am sharing here is based on my personal experience. if any of the forumers here think that revol does the best job in PDR, by all means they can go to you. who am i to stop that? but for sure, i am not recommending revol to my friends and relatives where PDR is concerned.

if i am the 1 in 1000 like what MW suggested, you have nothing to worry about.

in any case, i am not a very free man who can just suka suka take time-off to visit workshops to watch demos.

Re: Great job Revol

Well, I got my dent paintlessly (and painlessly) removed by Revol (you can check out my story HERE) - and I'm one satisfied customer.

I won't argue with the right of karkar to post his disgruntlement, as I'm sure he wouldn't have any beef with my right to voice my satisfaction of Revol's PDR service :) - fair and square, and we can all be civil and gentlemanly about it :).

Hi karkar,

As i still have not receive your Pm.

I shall move on as your identity as a Revol customer still remain unclear.

There is no point for us to continue this topic as it will lead to nowhere.

Thank you.

Re: Great job Revol

yes, i agree with wobble's spirit of sharing and commenting.

i am not here to pick up an argument. not only do i have nothing to gain from it, but i am spending extra time.

let's rest the case!
