Hello everyone.

Hi,

I am kaliumchloride (KCL).

Currently looking at getting a 2010 BMW318i (is this is referred as E90 ?) and wonder if this model and year has any issues ? Hope to learn and hear from experienced members and forum members. Quite surprised to read its belt driven ? Is this true ? Thought belt is only for very old cars.

From this forum seems like E90 have idling issues and accelerating issues ??? Wonder anyone can share about 2010 BMW318i in particular (parts to change say 100K mileage, problems ??).

Thanks.

Re: Hello everyone.

Thanks for the welcome and replies.

Hi AC, glad to know I got the E90 correct.

Wonder if you can elaborate on the common wear and tear issues around 100K mileage.

Re: Hello everyone.

Hi,

Just saw this from Ryan's link for E46 and E39;

"I am putting in those which r critical ones that will spoil ur days and get stuck with it and u won't want to be caught with... Things like power window, that we know fails a thousand times, will be left out since the car will still move and get us to the nearest help station..

Cooling System
Expansion tank (80k lifespan apparently)
Radiator (100k)
top hose (80k)
thermostat (100k)
water pump (100k or when overheat occurs)

Fuelling System (at 100k)
charcoal filter
fuel filter
fuel pump"

Wonder if these applicable for E90 (I guess so) and what would be the costs for all these parts ?

Re: Hello everyone.

Thanks for replies. Hope to meet you all one day during meet ups.

Still wondering to buy or not to buy ... I still have time, 1 year + on my current ride.
