Welcome, bro. Nice ride.

I must say that you are relatively sheltered from the mod bug, since it is quite difficult to get parts for bimmers in the land down under. Now that could be a blessing for your bank account.

So, you staying/working in Sydney?

Cheers

Correct man. In Sydney.

Yes - I have STOCK everything... parts here are expensive. You see the PDC on my rear? I actually bought that in PML/Alexandria in June. The guy sold to me for S$700, which I thought was a bargin!!! (Is that cheap?) anyway, I was the fool in the plane carrying a long plastic with holes in it :p

Working here - selling software... I want to buy MORE AND MORE stuff next time in SG...

welcome!! are there any bimmer groups in sydney? say, where in e46f did you find reference to this website?

Yes - Ryan was showing how to repaint the wood trim to silver.

I actually got a question Ryan - why do you want to repaint it silver? Granted wood looks "old man grandpa" but isn't it of higher value? I suppose in SG you dont worry about resale value as much - but here, it's down to every single thing you have - and wood is always better than "aluminum" right??

Correct me if I'm wrong...
AND NO BIMMER FORUMS HERE!! I wish there was. There's a BMW car club, but it's mainly BMW 2002s and E21s/E30s doing drag racing... I'm not into that...

Hi bro :)

If you see my thread about the painting of the interior trims..

i had quite crappy interior trims which were already peeling and at some places, nicked. It wasn't even wood to begin with! Haha, so the next best thing for me, at that time, was to do an aluminium look.

But there can be alot of possibilities to doing it yourself. Imagine, spraying an aluminium(chrome) and sandbrushing it yourself so that it would be a brushed aluminium surface. DIY and unique!

Also the tutorial was to show how to repair your trims if they did get damaged...and on the whole..a read on how the painting process is actually done.

Welcome to the forums again :) It's great you found us! :wavey:

Yup.
So happy.
I never belong to forums before. I bought my BMW last year, and discovered forums this year.
Since then I've been on bimmerfest, e46fanatics and now this, EVERY SINGLE DAY if I am in the office!!! I SHOULD be working but this makes me happier... :inlove:

Hey zen17,

Installing those stuff is a breeze... in fact you can see many awesome writeups on the internet, particularly forums such as this one, or bimmerfest.com/e46fanatics.com.

I did mine a few weeks ago, and if a idiot like me can do it, any one can :) :wavey:
