Help on engine oil

Morning All, my current ride is a 2007 E90. I serviced just a month ago & travelled 2000km, the engine oil sign lights up & require to top up 1L of engine. Is this common? Upon topping up of the engine oil, do i need to use back the same oil or any oil will do?

Probably a leak somewhere that you get checked. Normally, you'd need to top up engine oil only after every 6000-8000 km after servicing. I think best to use the same oil.

yes agree, you need to send the car for check up....my previous E90 has the same condition after 3 years driving....PML will replace the gasket and you are on the go....

Called BVO Mr Wee, he ask me to top up & monitor to see any physical leak. Think will top up & see..

just to share my 2006/E90....the engine oil issue started last year and after replacing the seals & gaskets on all visible leaks.... the engine oil issue did not improved.

now I top up 1 ltr of engine oil monthly.

3 workshops suggested doing top overhaul..... however, I decided to just top up engine oil as the car still perform the same as before.
