Do you guys drive the auto version, the fully stick version or the SMG version? Which is your preferred one? No problems so far with the autobox yeah? I'm trying to compare and weigh the pros and cons. Thanks.

i am drivin the auto... nice one so far... but sometimes i do wish it was an SMG or manual... as i am bitten by the track bug... so if u intend to track your car... then go for SMG or manual... as auto just can't quite make it in sepang!!! but singapore drivin... auto is best... smooth... power when u want it... orbit chip the car to further refine the response... and u got one neat car... like i do... hehehe!!!

Brandons,

i drove the auto for my test drives, creamy smooth...

check www.z4um.com

they have loads of threads on transmission choice.

Well I don't think I'll settle for the stick. Most probably SMG or auto. I'm not a track animal. I don't even have the faintest idea of going to the track. Just daily driving and a little speeding and overtaking here and there will do.

Oh yes one more question out of curiosity --> all of you guys changed to normal tyres yeah? Tanzy brought up that point to me. So anyone running on the 18 inch Ellipsoid alloy? That one is nice!

i dun intend to change to normal tyres... it'll be too embarassing being caught with a flat...

since its either smg or auto for u i'd say the former, i think its a nifty little thing to have... have u seen the thread abt the guys with autoboxes who want to mount paddle shifts? enough said... ;)

so are u looking at the 3.0 or 2.5 model?

my friend has the style 108s... apparently she got it as standard with her 3.0L, lucky gal... personally, i wouldn't give those up for the ellipsoids...

have u considered the style 135M? new option for 2005 models... i think its really sweet, plus it has the ///M label on it, so it'll probably add 5bhp to ur car. :laughlik:

Trigger,

read ur z4um post, changing ur rims ah?

Brandons,

currently, trigger has the ellipsoids

hmm, go talk to SMYUEN, i think he had that choice to make and he chose the cabrio.

if u're thinking of resale, i think the cabrio will have more ready buyers. i personally didn't go for the cabrio as my dad already had one, so i felt it was time to move on and sample other offerings by BMW.

i'm running the 17 turbines... love it a lot... but it does not allow me to install big brake kits... so... me shoppin for rims... still have not found any... :(

got rid of my run flats on the 2nd week of my car... makes a damn lotta difference... quieter, smoother, grippy, etc... run flats are super crap...
