Re: Hi all

Thanks, ac323. May I also add that ours is one of the most informative and user-friendly forums, if not the most. From the great layout to the generous sharing. Kudos to the administrators and everyone in the family. Have really benefited from the collective experience.

Re: Hi all

next question is when will u start on your healthy dosage of mod poison =P

welcome in!

Re: Hi all

Hi orcas3...Welcome...same here, i prefer the format of this forum than the usual suspect type..

Cheers

Re: Hi all

Hi Kaiser and leebmer,

Din wait ... Already reflashed; lighted up; scooped (these 2 at Rod's of course); and ditched the stock rims liao...

... Yikes. Poisoned big time. Thinking of CAI and brakes now.

But still can't quite understand why some bros say their CAI lost low end, and others say the opposite. Same brand some more.

And since I already have increased airflow from the airscoop, is a CAI worth the money at all?

Re: Hi all

airscoop works only with stock intake... if u swap out to an aftermarket CAI, airscoop will have to be removed.

on a 4 pot ride, u will definitely see a drop in low end (in exchange for mid-high end gains). for the 6 potters u should see gain all round. im not 100% certain of the technical logic behind that, so i'll not attempt to confuse/mislead you here =P but suffice to say that almost all workshop mechs and bros that have fitted their rides with CAI that i have spoken to have made the same observation. as for whether it's worth the money or not, that's entirely up to the individual =P

where did u get your reflash done btw? any reviews by any chance? =)

Re: Hi all

Hi there Orcas 3,

Welcome aboard bro.

There is a gathering on Sat(small group of abt 15 - 20), as well as Sun(month-end meetup). There are threads on both events. Feel free to join. The Sat one is initiated by me. The big Sunday one is by the forum.

Anyway, I am sure you will enjoy your ride but remember..... have a great but safe ride.

Look forward to meet you on Sat at the Red Dot Building Carpark

Cheers

Re: Hi all

Hi kim and Terry,

Thanks. Will definitely try to participate. Appreciate the welcome and invitation.

Hi Kaiser,

It's DMS. You'd remember another bro mentioned a Rob Young from the tuner visiting S'pore.

A friend set up an appt for me. And what a difference it made. The car has more torque, power, and very sure it's not psychological.

Like, used to feel the car struggling to get to the right lanes entering expressways. Now, it responds quicker and pulls effortlessly.

Rob said at least 20 horses and 20Nm more. From 156hp to 170++. Probably he uploaded parameters and made it a Euro spec 320!? DMS is UK-based anyway, so won't be surprised.

Re: Hi all

Hi orcas3,

Hi ac323,

Yea, no need SB liao (but never installed/experienced it before though)! Definitely not sluggish off the "start line" anymore...

Hi kim,

And want to thank you for the earlier reminder to be safe too. Love your "With Great Power Comes Greater Responsibility". How true... Need to keep in mind before it gets corrupted!

Hey Orcas,

Safety is really the utmost concern for ourselves as well as other road users. I borrow that statement from Spiderman's foster father's: "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility"....
Use that to remind me of my misely n humble beginning

Once again.... have a Great but Safe Ride

Cheers
