How to adjust your side mirror to the position you like when you are on reverse gear?

Mine seen to dip too low for my liking.

You can't, unfortunately. It's set to view the road kerb. I use the 2nd memory seat setting to adjust the mirror, so all I have to do is to toggle between M1 and M2 if I really need the mirror to tilt down during reversing. Otherwise, just rely on reverse cam and/or surround view....

That is one irritating flaw of the BMW -- in my previous rides, whether Japanese or Continental, you could always adjust the tilt angle of the wing mirror when reversing..... *sigh*

Exactly the problem i hv and was looking high and low for a solution for it! Meanwhile, what i am doing is, while reversing, leave the left/right mirror switch to the left, so that i can see the car on my left as i begin to reverse; once i make sure i left side is clear, ie wont hit the car on the left, i push the left/right switch to the right, which will automatically tilt the left mirror down, and as the first guy said, so low that i can only see the kerb, which is fine now coz i want to see the line on the floor to make sure that the car is parked straight and whether i'm too close to the car on the left. So i dont use the M2 for reversing. any better way to do this?

I like the 'set to view the road kerb'. Anyway adaptability is key, this is what I've chose to adapt therefore do not have an issue. It is kind of a combo of rear view mirror, side mirror and surrounding awareness.

+1. I just installed the parabolic mirror and don't let it tilt now.

The angle can only be 'coded', but damn tedious to do, coz you need to know the 'angle' you want rather than manually adjust via a switch until you shiok... and that angle is "fix"
