Soundwerkz;749964 said:It doesn't require idrive for iPhone music playback through the car. The aux input for e90 is located inside the centre armrest console. There is a 3.5mm jack input with 'Aux' word written. Just get any similar jack to connect your iPhone/iPod. Then on your BMW radio, select 'Aux' option. Controls have to done through device itself. Only up & down volume and poor sound quality.
Cheers!

Then I plug it into the USB port in the centre armrest.
From my BMW stereo I select USB.
Can control track/sort by album singer/genre etc.
Mine is a 2009 E90 though.

V6ENGINE;787000 said:Dear all E90 owners,
i have the cable that fits E90 cars to iphone for playing your favourite music. The functions are as follows:
1) Allows charging while driving
2) Allows you to control the music while driving using the "Up" & "Down" arrow functions on your steering wheel to choose the music you want
3) Allows you to keep the iphone neatly in your centre console
I am selling it for just $55(net) as I just sold my car. Interested, please message me at 9879 9989. (Alfred)

Any other iphone solution for aux-in only rides? That enables charging and some control (good to have not critical).
