How to turn on Brake Regeneration gauge?

Hi,

I've just received my 2011 X3 28i from PML. But I am unable to find anywhere that I can switch on the Brake Regeneration indicator. It is suppose to be a blue gauge located at the rpm indicator.

Anyone?

You can call their 24-hr technical assistance hotline that you can find in your decal. Alternatively you should call your sales executive and he/she should be able to help.

Actually I never know what does the battery regeneration does? It charges your battery? Isn't the engine already charging the battery?
