Jerked when changing from gear 2 to 3. Need advice

Hi,

My car tend to jerk when it's changing gear 2 to 3. I ignored as i felt it's normal. On my next subsequent visit to service my car, the technician told me he noticed the jerk and advised to do a gearbox overhaul. He quoted a $6800.
My dear mates, is it really necessary to do an overhaul? If it is, can you guys advise me to a workshop with a reasonable price for the overhaul?

Go do coding wif our dear bro RBB first... I did mine on the NIC, now swee swee liao.

P.s. Of course let him advise u... He did mine and my ride feels great now.

It could be a gasket problem.
When did you last change gear oil and gasket?

It's normal ... Just ignore the jerk and sooner u will get used and after that no more complain ler . I rather save $6800 for SAT sport gear and cic mod !

Alvinn, get your ride in to R2D for a second opinion. Doctor Rodney there is the best. He won't chop you $6.8k for sure.

Rod @ R2D solved the Jerk by changing new Mechantronics for my 2008 E60 523 Mileage 98k

Could be the solenoid failing. The easiest just flush off the sumps and change tranny oil
