My Specialist just put a KNECHT MAHLE oil filter in my car, during the oil change today. He said the filter is the same as OEM, but it wasnt. The filter was (slightly) shorter, and to make up for the space there were some rubber extensions. Is it ok to keep that filter, or should I worry?

Here is the one I found from MAHLE web site:
You can see from the photo that the filter is slightly shorter than the OEM one, and the space is filled with some rubber/plastic rings, that extend from the two bases of the filter.
