Careful of speed camera along Bukit Panjang road towards BKE.
Is a 1.2km straight road, speed limit at 60KMPH !

After 15yrs of "clean record" with NO demerit point before & driving for more than 500,000km in Singapore road, 1st time kanna the above place early morning to work 9am with 12 demerit points!!!!!! looks like my virgin kanna raped!

Anyway, always maintain the right speed (thou difficult sometimes for the ultimate driving machine..), you never know when you run out of luck :laughlik:

What speed were you travelling at? TP has been there for many times liao. Last time i kena one more travelling at 73kmh. that time the speed limit was 50km/h. There were no speed sign along the road. I wanted to appeal but too lazy. I bet a lot of people went to complaint that is why the speed lmit increased to 60km/h.

Last month, my wife got a speeding ticket along the same road travelling at 80+kmh. That was the election time. They actually waived off the summon by giving her a warning only. hmmm.....

you must be travelling at 100kmh for 12 demerit points. I know it is a wide road and pretty empty most of the time. the speed limit should be at least 70kmh

u are right bro .. think abt 105km/hr at 3rd gear after pick up from traffic junction .. late for appointment, the road is damn wide & 3 big lanes, overhead bridge, with high fences .. look like a highway! how to 60KMPH..

I believe it's the same stretch of road. My friend (mad fella) driving at 120kmh:screwedu: , got shot in his Airtrek Turbo. Somehow, he got away with a hefty fine and (i think) more than 12 demerit points.

that road is a common spot, they do op on weekend too. Whenever you see a cover bridge, just be careful...

Yeap...would appreciate if you can show the map cos I dont know BP area well, since I operate ard Redhill aka pai kia town. I will send a section of HiaDee to dismantle that stupid camera....60km.hr? Sometimes I think our TP is overly kiasu. Thats why these days I ve developed a very anti-TP attitude. I wil flash my long beam or horn at them if they dont give way or road-hog.

if i m not wrong should be one year from you kana deduct.. drive carefully and look out for traffic light camera, that is another 12 points if take a pic of you and there goes your licence.

Normally TP will give grace of 20km/h la. So if speed limit is 60km/h, you travel below 80kmh is still okie. if really travel at 60kmh i must well take bus!

i think if u bunch of mates go to australia to drive, you will understand how much worse it is there. And ahbengdriver, do u really horn and high beam TP? i would love to try it here. My last attempt in Australia tailgating a police motorcycle on the highway got me a 150 dollar fine. LOL! i was oppressed by those suckers that took my license away after repeated 5-10km/hr over the limit speeding.
