Lotus Drifting Course again!

Lotus car drift training course, using Lotus Asia Pacific cars, not our own cars:

After having a successful set of four drift driving courses with the support of Lotus Asia Pac and Eurosports in Singapore, we finally are able to offer more coursesin 2007. PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE DATES WHICH YOU GUYS THINK ITS FEASIBLE AND WE'LL TRY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Place: Sepang International Circuit carpark

Number of people per instructor: Three

Time: two groups (six people each): 8am to 12 noon 1st group and 2nd group from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Date: TBC

As you already know, there is a limit to 6 people per session and 12 people per day so please let me know your preference of day and time and I will try to accomodate you all as best as possible.

Cost: S$750 per person (no changes since last time even though more sets of tyres than originally thought were used ;o) ). Payment direct to Lotus Asia before Course collected by my Isaac Tsachmann, organizer for this event.


Non Lotus owners are welcome to participate

If necessary, I will get my neighbour talk to Lotus Asia Pacific to set more dates for those who cannot make it on any of those two dates, if there is enough people for them to cover their costs.

Feel free to ask any questions, I will respond as soon as possible.

i've participated in this course and i would like to clarify that it is more AUTOCROSS and not so much drift... just in case anyone else goes there thinking otherwise. great fun nonetheless!

it means it teaches you about car control. oversteer, understeer, braking points, handbrake turns etc....

there's no dedicated time set aside to teach you ANY drift, its up to you to try it if you can during your 5 to 10 minutes of practice for each new skill. moreover, the short wheel based elise is not the ideal car to drift as well.

its similar to the courses organised by SMSA locally and some aspects overlap with the ADT/IDT offered by BMW.

If this course is fully booked again, I will try to open up one more on the 1st of March, Saturday, provided i can get another 12 people for this date. I have already feedbacked to Lotus Asia on the last course that participants wanted more drift than autocross and they said they may revise the course structure this time.

Lets try to move this quickly as we are less than 2 weeks away. I will collect the fees the moment i can get 12 people on 1 day. I will KIV the 1st March Slot if there is enough ppl, then I would try to confirm that as well!

GUYS,

Please confirm if this 2nd March 2008 if its a go. I need everyone to pay quickly. We only have a week left before the course starts. Please ensure there are 12 people otherwise i am going to cancel it. I need an answer by tonight otherwise i am going to cancel it. I hope those who confirm will pay promptly to my bank account so that i can transfer the money to lotus for them to start preparing. Those who are in the group who knows others in the group, please inform them accordingly. This is very important to the organizer to decide if they want to go ahead with the course.

As long as i even get 11, its on. I really need a confirmation on this soon so that i can collect the money. I am in UK now and its hard for me to keep checking. ANd onthe course structure, Marcus is changing it now to more drift due to the feedback given to him by the previous courses. Edlsm, if u can get the 11 ppl to confirm and pay by Monday latest, everything shud be confirmed. Otherwise i am afraid i have to cancel it as the organisers need time to setup everything. I want everyone to transfer by Monday latest. And i want all of u guys to do it together because as much as even 1 pulls out, it wont go ahead and i will have to return the money back.

Guys, I've been to this course before and the last time I also paid to elmariachi (omar) the course fees through foxfrc5 before the course. In case you're worried, everything is above board and well organised.

Please confirm your participation by tonight and make payment also.
If we cannot get enough persons, I believe omar will refund the money.

Wux there @ the last autocross too...will be great if maybe we can have the am session catered more for guys like us who have done the autocross and skew it more towards hardcore driftin ...i know ed jux can't wait...hee hee...

P.S. As for those sitting on fence...i assure u that given the allocated time a lot wux covered and tho in-car time can always be longer I for one did not feel short-changed. The pace was brisk but we didn't feel rushed. Kudos to the organisers/instructors!

Thanks Ed for following up. Apprecitate it. I dont want to cancel this course last minute. If by today, we cant get everyone to confirm and pay, I will just push the course further down. That way we can have more time to collect the money and confirm. What do you say? Of course, like i said, as long as the dates satisy everyone, and the organiser can make it, its considered done.

Thanks again ed and hope to see an outcome by this evening at least be it yes or no. Either way, We can always just push it by 1 more week which i dont think is a big problem as long as everyone is agreeable on the dates.
