Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

Hi all,

I'm driving a '06 E90.

Today while driving, the low beam failure light suddenly lit up.

I stopped the car and checked the lights and they are all working fine.

What can be the issue?
Can it be a blown fuse or something?

Anyone encountered this problem before?

Tried searching the forum but I can't find anything.

Re: Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

did you change the fog lights to LEDs or something?

Re: Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

Mine just did the same, check all my lights working fine. Only thing I did was changing my fog lights to white aftermarket recently.

Re: Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

The car will detect the ampere drawn by the bulbs. This is why the errors will be thrown when bulbs with different wattage ratings are installed

Re: Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

Just found the reason what my bulb warning is about. My left hand side white led angel lights flickering intermittently while ON, think going to kaput soon.

Thinking of reverting back to the OEM yellow angel rings. Any bros here think white angel rings + white headlight OR yellow angel rings + white headlight looks better?

white + white or yellow + yellow. saw 7 series with xenon but yellow angel eyes look kinda ugly.

Check your headlight & foglight connectors.
There was once my rear light cluster connector was loose and it throw up failure warning too
Like you i check bulb and fuse but all ok

Re: Low-beam lights/Fog lights failure warning light

given the age of the car, there is the possibility of peeling insulation whereby the naked wires touch each other, resulting in short circuit and thus error messages.

Hala... been seeing quite a few e60 running around near my office with yellow angel rings + white headlight.

Am on white + white now, will have to replace the flickering white angel eyes soon :(
