Hair Loss and High Sex Drive
Male pattern baldness or hair loss has been shown to be associated with high levels of testosterone in the body, especially DHT, or "Dihydrotestosterone". This has led to suggestions that all people with a receding hairline and have a high sex drive. Not necessarily, but not entirely untrue either.
Chances for male pattern baldness to develop ranges 23-87 per cent in males and DHT related hair loss is just one of the causes of male pattern baldness. Environmental factors such as poor diet, infections and stress can also lead to early hair loss.
In balding men with high levels of DHT, their follicles become hyper sensitive to DHT, and over time (anywhere from 5-25 years), their hair begins to thin as the follicles narrows. Without treatment, at the end of thinning hair will fall off.
If you ask doctors, most of them will tell you that bald men have a high sex drive. But what they did not tell you is that people with high sex drive, and thus high testosterone have a greater chance for male pattern baldness. Bald men are not required to have a high sex drive, but have high levels of testosterone can lead to hair loss. So we should be concerned if you are a very manly man? No, unless you have a family history of men in families with male pattern baldness, or if you have already started to notice hair falling cluster.......
