Does anyone know if the MIchelin Pilot Sport 2 for the M5 rims are out of stock in singapore?

Anyone know of the price?

255/40/19 front?

285/35/19 rear?

Thanks

Re: Michelin Tyres

Those are M-specs which are a bit outta ordinary for those who run 19in with 255 and 285mm width so u really need to special indent those tires.

U can run 245/35 and 275/30 as well if u like which are alot more common.

Re: Michelin Tyres

Michelin is so sort after, besides rubber tyres I think michelin should also expand into condom business, sure give Durex some headaches. Afterall Michelin is French...heh who needs a French Cap ?

Re: Michelin Tyres

hahaha.....thanks guys. So it is true. These tyres seems to be hard to to come by even in Singapore. I thought it was just here at my neck of the woods.

Anything compromised by using the 245/35 and 275/30 instead?

Re: Michelin Tyres

any approx price for these tyres?

Re: Michelin Tyres

U will feel it's a bit harsher on heavy car coz the profile is thinner by 5mm in height

Re: Michelin Tyres

sorry OT a little bit. Recently Bridgestone Potenza RE050A has become something lotta people are raving about ... maybe consider ? Better ride and thread wear. PS2 has lost his crown as far as tire rack is concerned.

Yeah, I'm looking at tyres now. I don't like CSC2 at all, this is my second set in the past 7 years, the only way I get them is because car came with it.

edit: sorry, Bridgestone don't have it confirmed. Only Michelin PS2.

Re: Michelin Tyres

ps2 has lost its crown many times...only to reclaimed it. Caysman..u forget...the bridgestone is new..so the reviews for the + side is always high...after some time, it will balance out. thats what happened wiith the sportsmax too...

too early to tell if PS2 has lost it. for me the big plus in PS2 has got to be the weight...its freaking light compared to the rest.

Re: Michelin Tyres

u're right. I'm just dying to get rid of the CSC2 ... so now considering Bridgestone, but the tyre is so new that there's no size for me. So back to the proven PS2, I guess.

Re: Michelin Tyres

PS2 and CSC3 same weight right?..... try the CSC3, so far.. no complains and only smiles from me .

Re: Michelin Tyres

could it be 3rd time lucky? CSC=shit. CSC2=shit.

Actually, the main thing is the steering. There are 3 cars same spec. 2 cars on CSC2 and 1 on PS2. The CSC2 cars feel very good. BUT THE PS2 CAR FELT GREAT! Precision is the key. Compared to the PS2, the CSC2 was like short sighted, blur feeling. The PS2 was like a laser.

Anyway, the tyres for me relatively cheap now since 17" rims, thank god. If no PS2 stock at hurry I'll change to CSC3. Later ... I have to install the short shifter kit first.

Re: Michelin Tyres

i've used the PS2 before, thread pattern for the CSC3 is somewhat simillar and feels abt the same too... just that maybe sidewall abit softer... teeny bit..

sidewall softer is happy news!

Re: Michelin Tyres

i think the CS3 is a bit lighter..1 pound for the 19"...softer compound though..but dun forget when they review tyres..they also take into account the $$$...and i think the CS3 is more pricy than the oredy expensive PS2...

Re: Michelin Tyres

dun touch csc2...useless....n expensive. ps2 la...weight at wheels is everything.

yes for SURE. I've used it several times in the past and the only regret is wear. Now the wear will be even worse the way I'm driving, but WTF lah... no choice anyway. And the laser steering feel - priceless.
