N52 vs N53

Comparing a F10 IL6 3L with N52 and N53, which is better?

I tot the N53 was not allowed into SG due to the high sulphur content, but i actually found one for sale! Can buy?

One major difference with the N52 is that it comes with High Pressure Injection, which is basically direct injection. But the N53 does not have Valvetronic because there is not enough space in the cylinder head to implement both direct injection and Valvetronic.

I oso read the n53 dun sound as strawberry as a n52!

Just wonder how do u identify this car selling in sgcar comes with N53 ? U saw the log card?
I also notice this 3L '523' speedometer is in miles, and i saw another 3L 528 speedometer in KM. Any idea where are the cars import from? Engines also diff?
Understand BMW msia selling 528 with N52B30, 258hps/310nm. How about the power of this N53 ?
So many variance! Sibei confusing!

From UK, 523 = 3L N53.

From HK, 523 = 2.5L N52. 528 = 3L N52.

too much doubts, i think you better not take the plunge on this 3.0L 523, u also dunnoe why the direct owner is selling. Go for N55 535 2nd hand try find sub 200k.. MTL!!

So if I drive the N53 in Sg and then go Malaysia, my car will break down automatically after the JB immigration chop my passport?

So i suppose 1 quick way to identify N52 or N53 is by looking at speedometer.
If its in miles its N53. In KM its N52. Tio bo?
