Sorry for ranting but gotta get it off my system.

Was driving along ECP in the morning, on the right
lane cruising along with the flow of traffic, suddenly
this blue truck cut into my lane without warning
my instance reaction was to turn away as much as
I could without crashing into the barrier on my right.
Too late he still clipped me, I saw my left wind mirror
cover fly off & followed by the entire unit forced in.

The fellow just kept going didn't stop.....I was boiling
& had to overtake him to make him stop. Long story
short- PRC driver with work permit said sorry, tell me
to repair then let him know how much. Didn't want to
sign on accident form, spoke with boss on hp, finally
he signed. They want to settle without reporting.

Have been calling Eng Soon & other shops, FL 320
is still new, so no parts available...... talked with PML
they also have to find out & get back.

What a waste of time & running around. Thanks for
letting me rant:nutkick:

BTW should I settle or claim

u shld get a written quote from eng soon and go to the PRC's boss office and ask for cash payment.

i feel that e longer it drag it will be more difficult.

I think the reason they do not want you to report is that the PRC worker's original work scope is NOT driving. These days, MOM is very strict. If this case is brought up, the company will be fined. So you should leverage on this fact and pressure the boss. Hope all ends well for you

u shld get a written quote from eng soon and go to the PRC's boss office and ask for cash payment.

i feel that e longer it drag it will be more difficult.

Agent also must check, still waiting more
than 1 over hr liao. Just to check how much
it cost, didn't even tell me they hve or need

I also feel sorry for the guy, said he is new here, not used to the driving condition
& that he don't earn much.....etc That's why am trying 3rd-party first.

But I just don't want to be out of pocket too much to get it done.

Okay just had a call from PML
part has to be ordered, as
too new. 2 weeks+ lead time
And no colour coded
cover has to spray paint.
So will take even longer

KNN, it's those PRC-work permit drivers again .... Phooi !!! @#%@##$*%

My last ride was rammed from behind while waiting in front of red-light at traffic junction. My rear 18" rim was twisted and came out from the fender. This M*F*kr was driving a 5-ton truck, without the container. Came down from his vehicle and asked me to settle personally without reporting somemore. And that really boiled me......

I think it is best to report the matter for the benefit of everyone's safety. I was told there are a number of foreigners driving trailers although they are not licenced to do so. To be safe, we have to give them acres of space but roads are already so congested so sometimes it's a catch 22. On the other hand, you won't want to be crushed by their 10-tonnes and above loads.

Yes they are very bad drivers, when I was in beijing. My driver
is like a demi-god, can go anywhere, even in the face of
opposite traffic, cut across their 6 lanes, pedestrians beware
"bull" coming thru.

Hi all,

I have closure on the matter, called the boss, showed him the
quote from PML he paid up, apologise for the trouble & inconvenience
caused. Now the waiting starts for the parts to be flown in & it takes
2 weeks plus, can u believe it.

I know but i have s soft spot leh, after the accident
calm down liao, think about the prc driver quite
poor thing & not wanting him to be in more
trouble already & was willing to pay for damages,
so I let it slide.
