Need Advice: e46 Aircon Problem

Dunno if it can apply to your case or not...I had this problem on my E34 as well.

It seems that the problem was traced to the air circulation switch. My switch is not in the best of health...so sometime it sort of trips the aircon fan resulting in lesser air flow...like a choked feeling.

What I did was to lightly tap the swicth and the air flow will be back...if still cannot, I will switch it on and off (alternate between fresh and circulated air) and usually the air flow resumes back to normal.

Hope this helps...but if its not the problem...my suspect is that its a electrical problem and it could be the connectors or something.

Check the thermostat ....if faulty will cost something like $27 bucks for the part. Beware of workshops trying to convince you that the compressor is 'going'.

Had similar problem too. went into PML and changed the resistor. resolved. :)

Thanks for the feedback folks... Guess I just have to send it in to PML and get it checked out before while my warranty is still valid :)
