new steeringwheel cover?

The leather covering the steering wheel on my 11 year old 520 is less than good. BMW in Brunei says you cannot buy new leather - you have to buy a whole new steering wheel (BND $600!). Does anyone know if a kit is available to replace what is worn out - just the leather!

u can get it rewrapped in leather for about s$2-300.

or you can source for a decent condition used one from ebay.
